Saas Fee, Switzerland
Saas Fee Resort
With 150km of world class, well-maintained ski slopes and a panorama of 18 stunning 4,000 metre peaks, it’s hardly surprising that over 40,000 winter sports devotees voted Saas-Fee the best ski resort in Switzerland in 2012.
Beginners can find their feet in the excellent learners area in Saas Grund, before progressing to the wide cruisers Saas Fee has to offer. More advanced skiers also have plenty to smile about, with challenging mogul fields, steep red and black groomers, and an internationally acclaimed terrain park!
The Allalin Glacier guarantees skiing all season long, and the long descent from the top of it at 3620m all the way down to the village at 1800m will leave even the most experienced legs burning! Saas Fee has also just been voted as the alpine ski resort with the most reliable snow cover and is open well into the summer months.
The town of Saas Fee itself has bags of charm, and being car free means it really does feel unspoilt. With plenty of après activities available, the skiing is not the only thing Saas Fee has to offer.
