Solden, Austria

Solden Resort

The only resort in Austria with three mountains over 3000m, Sölden is definitely snow sure. The two glaciers – Rettenbachferner and Tiefenbachferner – and excellent snow-making facilities mean that snow is guaranteed from November until May. The ski area is among the best-known destinations in Austria, and regularly plays host to the first Alpine World Cup races of the season. Just ask the US and German ski teams, who use Solden as a base for training! The spacious ski area offers a huge diversity of slopes for all levels of ability. The list of après activities is also extensive. From ice-skating to adventure pools, there is plenty to keep all school groups entertained. Solden is also where some of the most exciting scenes in the latest James bond film ‘Spectre’ were filmed.
